Chiropractic FAQ

Common questions about chiropractic care, first visits, treatment options, and ongoing wellness care.

Patients commonly visit us for musculoskeletal pain, nerve-related symptoms, posture problems, injuries, and mobility concerns.

  • Back and neck pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sciatica and nerve pain
  • Herniated or bulging discs
  • Sports and auto injuries
  • Shoulder, knee, hip, and joint pain
  • Neuropathy symptoms
  • Poor posture and spinal imbalance

Most people associate chiropractic care with back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica. Chiropractic care may also help support better spinal mobility, posture, joint function, and nervous system communication.

Many patients report improvements such as:

  • Improved mobility and flexibility
  • Better posture
  • Less stiffness and tension
  • Better sleep
  • Improved athletic function and recovery
  • Improved ability to manage physical stress

Pain is not the only sign that your spine or joints may not be moving properly. Common signs may include poor posture, limited range of motion, stiffness, muscle tension, recurring tightness, fatigue, or uneven movement patterns.

A chiropractic exam can help identify areas of restricted motion, altered mechanics, nerve irritation, muscle imbalance, or structural stress before symptoms become more disruptive.

Chiropractic care may help patients with new injuries, old injuries, chronic pain, posture problems, mobility limitations, and wellness goals.

  • Children and infants for gentle, development-focused care
  • Adults with pain, stiffness, posture strain, or work-related stress
  • Athletes looking to improve mobility, recovery, and function
  • Patients with recurring back, neck, disc, nerve, or joint symptoms
  • Patients looking for maintenance or wellness-based care

Care is tailored to each patient. Some patients respond best to traditional manual adjustments, while others need a gentler approach.

  • Traditional manual adjustments by hand
  • Instrument-assisted adjusting
  • Table-assisted drop adjusting
  • Gentle techniques when appropriate
  • Additional methods based on the patient’s condition and tolerance

The right schedule depends on your condition, severity, goals, exam findings, and response to care.

Patients with more intense pain, nerve irritation, disc injuries, or acute flare-ups may start with care two to three times per week. Other patients may begin with weekly care. Maintenance patients often come biweekly or monthly depending on their needs.

After your exam, we will recommend a care schedule that fits your condition and goals.

Before You Arrive

New patients can complete intake forms online before the visit. Forms may also be completed in the office if needed.

When You Arrive

You will check in at the front desk kiosk. Our staff will scan your insurance card, driver’s license, and securely place a debit or credit card on file for billing.

If you are using insurance, you typically are not charged at the time of the visit. After your insurance processes the claim, the Explanation of Benefits determines your patient responsibility, which may include a copay, co-insurance, deductible balance, or full visit cost depending on your plan.

If you are paying out of pocket, payment is collected at the time of service with the applicable time-of-service pricing.

Consultation and Exam

The doctor will review your health history and perform an examination. This may include assessment of spinal alignment, mobility, range of motion, strength, flexibility, nerve-related findings, discs, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and whether X-rays are needed to proceed safely.

Your First Treatment

In most cases, patients receive their first chiropractic adjustment and therapeutic rehab on the same day. After treatment, we will review how the visit went, any important findings, and recommended follow-up care.

After Your Visit

You can schedule your next appointment before you leave, use the online scheduler, or walk-in. Be sure to always check the calendar on the website before walking in.
